Information, dis-information, propaganda, biased reporting, outright devious attempts to con us…..
Seniors need to stay current just as much as anyone else does. Unfortunately, for a lot of us, that’s a whole lot harder now than it ever has been before. AI, camera’s and microphones in our phones, televisions, appliances, cars, computers, and even in our light bulbs. We are deluged with a fire hose of “information” and a lot of it is wrong, misleading or an outright lie designed to get us to do things, buy things and vote for things that might not be in our best interests!
Yet, its really hard to keep up with the information that is real and weed out all of the misleading and just plain wrong information.
That’s what this program is all about.
In my second business life, the first was as Marine with an Intelligence Military Occupational Specialty, I was an investigator, then I created my own investigative agency. We worked with Fortune 100 companies, state, county and city governments throughout Southern California, Washington State, and Texas. Since then I have worked with two of the largest communications companies in the country and for the last nearly 10 years I was with the Disaster Assistance Program with the Small Business Administration.
Keeping up and staying informed isn’t possible unless you are working at it full time. For most of us, retirement isn’t about working all the time! For me, I don’t believe I have a choice. I’ve had a lot of experience working in intelligence, investigations, insurance, disasters, privacy, etc. and I am going to continue doing so - but for a different reason. Throughout my life I have worked for large corporations, governments and others where my opinion and observations definitely mattered - but I couldn’t share with you. Now, that I’m am not on anyone’s payroll - I can call it like it is and intend to do exactly that. I may not always be right, but I am going to do my very best to provide information that is accurate, fair, and free from ulterior motives. If that’s something that you are interested in - great!
